What to Know About Love Is Blind's Kait Ahead of Season 9 Reunion Appearance
Love Is Blind season 9 star Kait Nemunaitis found herself in a pod love triangle — but left the show single.
Kait hit it off with costar Nick Amato in the pods, bonding over shared interests in camping and skiing.
“I think a lot of people were really off-put by him, but I just was like, ‘I feel like we’re clicking so much and we’re aligned on so many things,’” Kait recalled on an October 2025 episode of the “Love to See It” podcast. “It felt very natural for me and him initially. It’s wild because you only see the moments with me and Nick, but we’re also having other really strong, intense connections with other people.”
Nick was pursuing eventual fiancée Annie Lancaster at the same time, while Kait often spoke with Blake Anderson and Brendan Guthrie, respectively. (Annie also had a connection with Brendan but ended things to focus on her connection with Nick ahead of his proposal.)

“That’s a big part of what makes this all so complicated,” Kait explained. “You’re constantly trying to see where everyone stacks up and figure out how to move forward with the matches that you have as time goes on.”
Kait ultimately left the show single — but is set to come face-to-face with Nick again at the tell-all reunion. Until then, scroll down to learn more about Kait and her experience in the pods:
What Is Kait Nemunaitis’ Job?
Kait is a 32-year-old registered dietitian, according to her official cast bio.
Kait Nemunaitis Was Engaged Before ‘Love Is Blind’
As mentioned in the pods, Kait broke off an engagement years before signing onto the Netflix dating experiment.
“I’ve been engaged in the past, so for me I take engagement very seriously,” she said on the “Love to See It” podcast. “I hate the fact that I got engaged and it didn’t work out. I knew I didn’t want to do that again.”
Kait Nemunaitis Was Involved in a ‘Love is Blind’ Pod Love Triangle
While Nick was torn between Kait and Annie, he ultimately chose to break up with Kait ahead of proposal day. Kait, meanwhile, alleged that she had already “started to pull away” from the luxury watch dealer.
“We started to have some differences in values,” Kait recalled on the “Love to See It” podcast. “That was a big part of why we broke up, obviously, I had some level of anxiety of, ‘Are people going to hate me because I’m not super religious?’”
She added, “I was trying to make compromises with him, but it just wasn’t good enough for him. And then, at the end, that ended up being a difference in values and that’s fine.”
What Happened When Kait Nemunaitis Saw Nick Amato Outside of the Pods?
Kait and Nick finally met face-to-face in the ninth episode during the cast’s western-themed party.
“It’s tough because I feel like my emotions were taken advantage of because you said you love me and then you just, like, rescinded that so quickly,” Kait told Nick. “For me, at least, that carries so much value. To say that and take it back so quickly, I feel like it totally disregards a person’s feelings.”
Nick apologized for not being direct about his feelings, stressing that he had never been in love with two people at the same time before. During the party, Nick was still engaged to Annie. They broke up weeks later over fundamental differences unrelated to his past with Kait.

The Love Is Blind reunion will feature all six engaged couples — no one got married by the finale in a franchise first — and Kait.
“It felt like you went into ChatGPT and, like, looked up how to get a girl to fall for you,” Kait quipped to Nick in a teaser clip.
Of course, the rest of Kait and Nick’s reunion conversation is TBD until the reunion airs on Netflix Wednesday, October 29, at 9 p.m. ET.
